The 2012 UCI BMX World Championships will take place in Birmingham in what is the biggest annual prize in BMX racing, with the world’s best riders chasing the right to wear the coveted rainbow stripes for the following 12 months. The event takes on extra significance in 2012 because it is the last event in which nations can secure valuable qualification points as they strive to earn their place at the London Olympic Games.

The NIA will see some of the world’s best BMX riders go head to head over four days of competition between 24th and 27th May 2012. Two thousand riders from 40 countries will compete for world titles in what promises to be the most spectacular World Championships ever.
