One of the showpiece events in the basketball calendar is returning to the National Indoor Arena on Sunday 16 January 2011 as the BBL Cup Final (3.30pm) is contested between two of the country’s top teams.

It is the ninth year in a row that the game has been played at the NIA and the venue, which is now synonymous with the biggest games in British hoops, has produced some classic finals.

Cup Final Day is one of the most eagerly-anticipated during the BBL season as some of the stars of the British game lay it all on the line in pursuit of this coveted piece of silverware in the illustrious surroundings of Birmingham’s NIA.

An international game has been added to the programme this season as an England Select team take on Wales Select (12.30pm) with bragging rights in the Home Nations at stake. Also taking place on the day is the 2011 BBL Dunk Contest (2.30pm).  The contest is a spectacle in itself as one of the league’s foremost individual accolades is awarded to whichever of the high-flyers most impresses the judges and the crowd.

Leading the supporting cast are the incredible ‘Crazy Dunkers’  from France. The amazing acrobatic dunk specialists wowed the crowd last year and are world renowned for their breathtaking routines. To complete the line up you will be entertained by the stunning BBL Babes Cheerleaders, mascots, and lots lots more:
