The NIA is situated in Birmingham city centre; its central location ensures it is at the hub of the UK motorway network. Visitors from any direction can travel to The NIA using the following motorways - M1, M5, M6, M6 Toll, M40 and M42.

The NIA is signposted on motorways and major roads and is marked on most maps. If you decide to travel by car, we recommend that you allow plenty of time for your journey. For live traffic updates, visit the Highways Agency website here

Using Sat Nav

If you are using a satellite navigation system please enter the postcode B1 2AA to pinpoint us. Please be aware that the Sat Nav system will not direct you into the NIA car parks, but there are clearly signposted directions to all the NIA car parks once in the vicinity of the venue.

Car Parking

Car parking is limited at the venue, but there are four car parks located at the NIA:
North - King Edward's Road (open 24 hours)
South - Sheepcote Street (open 24 hours)
West - St Vincent Street (open 24 hours)
NIA Sports and Leisure Centre - Junction of King Edward's Road and Sheepcote Street (open 0700 - 0000)

Parkmobile App.

At peak times you may find it easier to pay via the Parkmobile App. The first time you use it, it will take a couple of minutes to download and programme your details, so why not do this now? You can then avoid queuing and pay in seconds when you arrive. Paying in this way does not require you to display a ticket.

All charges are inclusive of VAT and apply 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Ticket machines will accept 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins and several also accept payment by debit/credit card. They do not give change but will accept overpayments. For your assistance, change machines are permanently located near the entrances of both North Car Park and South Car Park.

Please note, the NIA is located in a residential area and we would appreciate your co-operation in keeping noise to a minimum when leaving the venue.

Parking for Blue Badge holders

Special designated bays have been marked out on Level 11 of South car park that give direct access to the NIA at Concourse level and bays have been reserved on Level 9 North which give ground floor access (only) to the Arena.

Access to level 7 and 11 is also available from any South Car Park odd level (except level 5) via the lift in the stairwell nearest the arena, although these spaces are standard size only.

In order to get to the SeaLife Centre or Brindley Place during the refurbishment works, there are also limited accessible parking bays on West Car Park Level 6 and South Car Park Level 12. Please exit via Level 8 for these destinations.
