The National Indoor Arena

The NIA is a venue within a venue. With a full arena capacity of 12,700 (seated) The NIA also transforms into The NIA Academy - a theatre style layout with a capacity of between 3,500 and 5,100 and The Eclipse – a standing only format with capacities between 2,750 and 7,500, offering the utmost in versatility from it’s unique retractable seating system.

Situated in the centre of Birmingham the NIA was purpose build to accommodate major sporting events and is recognized as one of Europe’s leading indoor sporting arenas hosting everything from Athletics and gymnastics to, netball, basketball, hockey, boxing, darts, snooker and football.  Sport is just the beginning, the Arena has been transformed to accommodate comedy, opera and ice events as well as being recognised as one of the UK’s must play arenas for all major touring artists.
